Zenline Drives International Expansion

Zenline AI has grown significantly over the past year, winning well-known customers across multiple industries. Now the Zurich-based startup is focusing on expanding into the US and the UK – and a visit from the Prime Minister of Kosovo last week brought some extra attention.

AI Agents for commercial decisions in retail

Zenline builds specialized AI Agents for commercial decision-making in retail. The software combines internal company data with external signals and turns them into concrete recommendations to improve margins. Unlike generic AI tools, Zenline's agents are purpose-built for retail and understand the context of assortment and pricing decisions.

Strong traction across industries

Last year, Zenline closed its first financing round, led by Seedcamp, and now works with leading European retailers with up to €20 billion in revenue. On average, customers achieve a margin improvement of 2 to 4 percent through data-driven assortment decisions. The AI Agents are used across industries including beauty, grocery, fashion, quick commerce, sports, electronics, and furniture. So far, 90 percent of customers have converted from pilot to annual contract.

In Europe, Zenline is active in the DACH region, Poland, and France, and has won its first customers in the United Arab Emirates as part of its international expansion. The team has also doubled to ten people since summer 2025, bringing together experience from BCG, Amazon, and Zalando at the intersection of retail and tech.

A visit from the Prime Minister of Kosovo

The success story has not gone unnoticed. During his trip to Switzerland, Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurti visited the Zurich-based company and met with co-founder and CEO Arber Sejdiji. The contact was established through Liza Gashi, Kosovo's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Diaspora, after the political representatives became aware of Zenline through the startup's PR and LinkedIn activities.

Sejdiji – who, like around 200,000 people in Switzerland, has Kosovar roots – welcomed Kurti for a conversation about the future of AI in Europe, the role of the diaspora as an economic bridge, and how knowledge built abroad can flow back more strongly into countries of origin. This summer, Sejdiji will meet Kosovo's Minister of Digitalization to continue the conversation.

What's next

A second financing round is planned for this fall. In parallel, Zenline aims to win its first pilot customers in the US and push ahead with its market entry in the UK – along with further growing the team.
